Medi-Cal Services & Programs
Attention: Medi-Cal is changing its rules so more people can get covered. Starting January 1, 2024, more adults will be eligible for full Medi-Cal benefits. Immigration status doesn’t matter. Even if you’ve been denied full Medi-Cal recently, you could be eligible now. Also starting in January, assets will no longer count toward your Medi-Cal eligibility. If your coverage was denied, delayed, reduced or stopped because of your assets, ask your local Medi-Cal office to review your case. Medi-Cal is a health care program that pays for a variety of medical services for children and adults.
It is almost time to renew your Medi-Cal coverage. You will get a letter in the mail that tells you if your Medi-Cal was renewed automatically by the county or if more information is needed. If you receive a renewal packet or a notice asking for more information, you can submit the information by phone, mail, in person or online.
