ILP Services may be accessed by current and former dependent youth who meet ILP eligibility requirements. Eligibility is based on whether a youth
- Was placed in out-of-home care at any time from their 16th to 19th birthdays
- Received KinGap Guardian Assistance Payment Program (KinGap) any time between ages 16 & 18.
ILP eligible current and former dependents of the Orange County Juvenile Court may access all ILP services offered in Orange County.
ILP eligible current and former dependents from other counties who were placed in Orange County and currently reside in Orange County may access some Orange County ILP services. ILP services include
- ILP workshops focusing on establishing life skills (e.g. budgeting, cooking, educational opportunities, and healthy relationships)
- Transitional housing for current foster youth (THPP)
- Transitional housing for former foster youth (THP Plus)
- Financial literacy classes
- Financial assistance
- Vocational assessments and career counseling
- Youth advocacy opportunities
- Mentoring
- Bus passes for employment and education related travel
