The CalFresh Program was established to provide nutrition assistance to people in low-income households. It does that by increasing their food-buying power, so they are able to purchase more nutritious foods, such as fruits, vegetables, and other healthy foods.
SSA programs are administered based on State and Federal laws and regulations, including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The information in the pamphlet is for persons applying for, receiving, or who have received public assistance or services.
